We have vacancies on our Trustee Board
The search is on to find Trustee Board members to help us continue to work and deliver services throughout Caerphilly, Blaenau Gwent, Wales and the UK.
Our Trustee Board members volunteer their time to help us develop and deliver our strategic vision. Many have sat on the Board for more than a decade, carrying out a range of duties to support Citizens Advice Caerphilly Blaenau Gwent.
Our current Treasurer, who has been a board member for more than decade will be standing down from the role soon. This creates an opportunity for someone with a finance and accounting background to take up the role of Honorary Treasurer.
Chief Executive Simon Ellington said: “CACBG is not simply an advice agency,” he said. “We are an organisation that helps and supports individuals to resolve their money, legal and other problems. We aim to improve their quality of life. These outcomes are achieved through the delivery of quality assured information, advice and guidance to clients and through influencing policy change at a local and national level. Our Trustee Board plays a huge part in helping us meet our aims and objectives.”
Currently we have 12 members who are Charity Trustees and Company Directors. The full board meets four times each year, once each quarter, with sub-committee meetings being held in most of the intervening months.
“We welcome interest from all ages and backgrounds,” said Mr Ellington. “Trustees are volunteers and it is volunteers who are at the heart of our service. Trustee Board members find their roles rewarding. They help us to drive forward our plans to provide free, impartial advice to people now and in the future.”
