Why work with us…

Working for us

Sophie Forbes works on one of our many partnership projects.

Working with us means you will be joining the largest Citizens Advice service in Wales and one of the largest in the Citizens Advice network. We are an organisation that has a voice and influences policy development. We help millions of people each year and have a direct impact on a person’s well-being.

In 2000 when we launched the service, we had a handful of paid staff and a team of dedicated volunteers providing a service for Caerphilly. We have extended our reach and have a paid and unpaid workforce of around 200 who offer a full range of services

throughout Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent. We also offer telephone and digital advice services across the whole of England and Wales.

During 2020 alone, we recruited more than 70 paid and unpaid people to the teams, to help meet the demand for advice. And we continue to grow. We have a wide range of roles in our advice services, at our Caerphilly Contact Centre and in support services such as administration and finance.

Work with the volunteers

Elizabeth Tomlinson is one of our many student volunteers.

Our volunteers and staff are the secret to our success. They have helped tens of thousands of people solve a range of problems since 2000. We make sure they feel valued.

Wellbeing is a priority for us and joining us means you could enjoy the benefits of a full and comprehensive training and development programme, flexible working (subject to service needs) and access to an Employee Assistance Scheme. You can also access discounts at high street and local shops.
